We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join a supportive and inclusive school community in Cleethorpes. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
About the Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, ensuring they are able to access learning, develop independence, and thrive both academically and emotionally. You will support children across:
- Communication and Interaction needs
- Cognition and Learning difficulties
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
We are looking for someone who is:
- A committed, driven and effective team player
- Experienced in supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD
- Confident working within a school environment with an understanding of individual learning needs
- Adaptable, intuitive, and able to adjust practice to keep pupils engaged
- Able to use (or willing to be trained in) relevant SEN strategies and interventions
- Professional, reliable, and has a strong record of good attendance and timekeeping
- Positive, resilient, and brings a good sense of humour to the role
Requirements:
- Relevant Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent experience in a school setting
- Experience supporting children with additional needs is essential
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
