We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant school in Greenwich. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their educational, emotional, and social development.
  • Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Offer one-on-one or small group support as required.
  • Act as a communication bridge for Spanish-speaking pupils and families, ensuring inclusivity and understanding.
  • Assist in creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
