Smile Education is recruiting reliable and hardworking School Cleaners in Hyde, Greater Manchester.
We are looking for dedicated and experienced cleaners to work within a school environment, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety for pupils, teachers and staff.
Previous experience working in a school or educational setting would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and communal areas.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, washrooms and other facilities.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and maintaining floors.
- Dusting and wiping desks, tables, chairs and other surfaces.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Cleaning high-touch surfaces to maintain excellent hygiene standards.
- Replenishing soap, toilet rolls and other cleaning supplies.
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
- Following school safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene procedures.
- Ensuring all areas are left clean, tidy and safe for pupils and staff.
Essential Requirements
- Previous professional cleaning experience.
- Experience working within a school or educational setting would be an advantage.
- A suitable Enhanced DBS certificate, with the appropriate children's workforce checks where required.
- Satisfactory references; school-based references are desirable.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic school environment.
