SEN Learning Support Assistant - Level 2 or 3 qualified

Location: Leicester

Contract: Long term

Hours: 29.5 hours per week (8:30am – 3:30pm) | 39 weeks per year

Salary: £90-£110 per day

Start Date: Immediate or February

An exciting opportunity has arisen for compassionate, proactive, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants that have a Level 2 or 3 in Teaching and learning (or similar) to join a primary school in South Leicester.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in supporting the learning, development, and care of pupils. Working in close partnership with teaching staff and SEND department, you will help ensure that each child you support is getting the most out of their education and time in school. Some of the pupils you will be working with have diverse needs so previous experience in this type of position is a real advantage.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting students’ individual learning journeys through tailored activities.
  • Delivering one-on-one and small group interventions to promote engagement and progress.
  • Creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to meet EHCP targets.
  • Assisting with personal care, sensory programmes, and emotional regulation strategies where needed.
