Person Specification
- Holds QTS, with ECTs warmly encouraged to apply
- Dedicated, professional, and demonstrates excellent classroom practice within EYFS or KS1
- Holds a relevant teaching qualification and is an outstanding practitioner for early learning
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire young children
- Has a passion for early childhood education and the ability to foster enthusiasm for learning
- Committed to ongoing professional development and contributing to whole-school initiatives
- Has experience in curriculum planning, assessment, and delivering high-quality learning experiences in EYFS/KS1
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging early learning environment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the EYFS/KS1 curriculum
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons that inspire, challenge, and support all pupils
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, using observations and data to inform next steps in learning
- Support and mentor colleagues where appropriate, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
- Work closely with senior leadership to help implement school-wide strategies for early academic success
- Build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community
- Promote early enrichment opportunities and initiatives that enhance children’s learning experiences
