Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Hours: 4 or 5 days per week

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a small SENSchool on a long-term basis, working with pupils with autism and additional needs.
The role:
- Supporting pupils with autism
- Providingin class support to a range of ages
- Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
- Supporting communication, independence and positive behaviour
- Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
- Creating a calm, supportive and nurturing environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND/autism but training will be provided
- Is patient and caring
- Can build positive relationships with pupils
- Is confident working as part of a team
- Is committed to making a genuine difference to pupils' lives
