Smile Education is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary academy within a well-established Multi-Academy Trust in Manchester. The school is committed to inclusive education, student wellbeing and personal development, ensuring every young person feels safe, supported and ready to succeed. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Pastoral Support Officer to join a dedicated pastoral team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young people emotionally, socially and academically in a positive school environment. School-based experience is not essential—full training and ongoing support will be provided.

About the role

  • Provide emotional and pastoral support to students
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to support wellbeing, behaviour and engagement
  • Support students during the school day, including transitions and intervention sessions
  • Help students develop confidence, resilience and positive relationships
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SEN and safeguarding teams
  • Support behaviour strategies and positive routines across the school

Requirements
