The Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary age range.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
- Assist children with varying learning needs, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help create a calm, purposeful learning environment.
- Prepare classroom resources and assist with daily classroom organisation.
- Support pupils' emotional, social and academic development.
- Contribute to school activities and work collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 6 months' experience supporting children within a UK primary school or educational setting.
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
- The ability to provide two years of employment and/or education references, including at least one reference relating to working with children.
- Right to work in the UK.
