Smile Education are currently recruiting for a Leadership Support Officer to start immediately for a secondary school in the Stafford area. The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the Senior Leadership Team, Governors, and wider school operations. This is a varied and rewarding position, involving high-level administrative support, coordination of school communications, and assisting with whole‑school organisation. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide confidential administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team
- Support recruitment processes including adverts, shortlisting, and interview coordination
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and documentation for Governors
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate school communications including newsletters and promotional materials
- Assist with organising school events, surveys, and key calendar dates
- Proofread and produce high‑quality documentation on behalf of the school
- Liaise with staff, parents, and external stakeholders professionally
- Provide general administrative support across the school when required
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a school administrative or leadership support role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
- Proficient IT skills (experience with school systems such as SIMS/ARBOR/BROMCOM is desirable)
