Smile Education are recruiting for an experienced School Cleaner to support a school in Kidderminster (DY10). This is a temporary position with the potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas to a high standard.
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors as required.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Clean and sanitise touch points and high-traffic areas.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet roll.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is stored safely and correctly.
- Report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns.
- Follow school cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines.
- Work independently and as part of the wider site team.
- Support the school in maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably within a school, education or commercial setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and health and safety standards.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

- Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks.
