Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Support children's social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Observe, assess and record children's progress in line with the EYFS framework.
- Encourage children's communication, language, creativity and independence.
- Support positive behaviour and promote children's wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and school leadership.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or eligibility to obtain QTS.
- Early Career Teacher (ECT) status or a strong interest in beginning an Early Years teaching career.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to complete the necessary pre-employment and safeguarding checks, including an appropriate DBS check and satisfactory references.
