Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities
- Mark work, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback using both formal examinations and informal assessments
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and disciplined learning environment that promotes engagement and resilience
- Keep accurate records of student progress, attainment, and attendance
- Attend staff meetings and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and best practice
- Participate in extracurricular activities such as parents’ evenings and communicate effectively with parents and carers
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related subject and QTS (or equivalent)
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and engagingly
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners
- A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting them to build confidence and problem-solving skills in Maths
