Smile Education is currently recruiting exam invigilators to work on a seasonal basis during peak exam periods. The busiest time is from May to July during GCSE exams, but there are opportunities throughout the year for mocks and resits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setting out examination papers and stationery prior to the examination.
  • Ensuring a calm environment and helping to organise students at the start and end of each exam.
  • Displaying starting and finishing times for the exams on the boards.
  • Ensuring the conduct of the exam follows the set guidelines.
  • Following correct exam procedures and reporting suspected malpractice or irregularities to the Exams Officer.
  • Marking attendance registers.
  • Dealing with any disturbances during the exam.
  • At the end of an exam, ensuring answer booklets are completed correctly and collecting exam scripts in candidate number order.
  • Ensuring compliance with examination regulations.
  • Collecting and counting scripts at the end of the exam.
  • Preparing the examination room for the next session.
