About the role

Smile Education are recruiting on behalf of a “GOOD” school based in Penn, Wolverhampton, WV4. They are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who can work with a clear focus on raising pupil attainment whilst embedding the curriculum.

Successful candidates will be able to:

  • inspire, challenge and motivate all children to achieve;
  • create an outstanding learning environment;
  • tailor the curriculum and teaching strategies to best suit the needs of the children and school;
  • be enthusiastic and committed to raising standards;
  • work with parents to develop positive relationships and be fully engaged in whole school life.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading classes by delivering lessons, demonstrating tasks, assigning tasks, and encouraging discussions.
  • Deliver phonics and interventions where necessary.
  • Prep and support the children’s development and learning ready for their SATS.
  • Supervising students while they complete tasks independently.
  • Setting homework or exercises for students to practice their skills after class.
  • Developing and marking examinations to measure students’ progress.
  • Assessing and reporting on students’ academic achievements and behaviour.
