About the Role
Smile Education is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join the Key Stage 2 team at a supportive and forward-thinking local primary school in Dudley, DY1. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their best.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of all pupils
- Differentiating learning to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL
- Monitor and assess pupil progress through formal and informal methods, using this information to inform future planning
- Create a safe, stimulating classroom that encourages curiosity, confidence, and independence
- Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers to support learning and behaviour
- Contribute to whole-school activities, meetings, and events as part of the wider teaching team
- Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour, work ethic, and personal conduct in line with school policies
You’ll need
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching in KS2 (including delivering core subjects)
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual needs
- Excellent organisational, communication, and classroom management skills
- An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
