Smile Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Droylsden, Greater Manchester, for a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2026.

The Role

  • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions to help pupils reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with class teachers to prepare engaging learning activities and classroom resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil confidence and independence.
  • Provide tailored support for children with additional learning or SEND needs where required.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least 6 months' experience working within a UK primary school.
  • Experience supporting children across the primary age range.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning.
  • Confidence adapting to the individual needs of pupils.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
  • Ability to provide a full two years of employment and/or education references, including at least one reference relating to working with children.
  • References should be available during pre-screening or registration to support a smooth compliance process.
  • Right to work in the UK.
