This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve both academically and personally. Opportunities are available across both primary and secondary SEN settings, supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs and additional learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences while building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Plan and implement personalised learning programmes in line with EHCPs and individual learning targets.
- Create a safe, nurturing and structured classroom environment that supports positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress and development.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles and abilities.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists and external professionals.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers and wider school staff.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
- Promote safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing at all times.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential.
- Minimum 6 months’ experience supporting pupils with SEN and Autism.
- Experience teaching within SEN or alternative provision settings preferred.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
- Committed to full-time work and consistent support for pupils.
- Ability to provide two references covering the past two years.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Smile Education.
