Smile Education is recruiting for an Account Manager to support our partnership with Enquire Learning Trust. This is a key delivery role within our Managed Service Provider team. You will coordinate school staffing requirements, manage bookings, engage candidates, work with partner agencies and ensure all activity is recorded accurately on the CRM. The role would suit someone with experience in recruitment, resourcing, account management, staffing, client service, education, healthcare, social care or another busy service‑led environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing day‑to‑day, short‑term and long‑term school staffing vacancies.
  • Acting as a point of contact for schools, candidates, internal teams, partner agencies and the MSP leadership team.
  • Taking accurate booking details and prioritising urgent requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with school contacts, MAT stakeholders, candidates and partner agencies.
  • Attracting, sourcing and interviewing candidates, mainly Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Education Support staff.
  • Searching job boards and internal systems.
  • Writing and posting adverts.
  • Keeping candidates updated on availability, suitability, bookings and compliance progress.
  • Promoting suitable candidates into schools and long‑term roles.
  • Liaising with partner agencies when Smile candidates are unavailable.
  • Working closely with compliance to ensure candidates are safe, suitable and fully cleared before placement.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, including bookings, actions, notes, ownership details and candidate/client information.
  • Formatting CVs, chasing timesheets and ensuring required documents are visible to the correct parties.
  • Escalating risks, recurring issues or service concerns when required.
  • Identifying barriers to fulfilment and suggesting practical solutions.

Skills and experience required

  • Experience in account delivery, recruitment, resourcing, staffing, client service, education, healthcare, social care or another fast‑paced people‑focused environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident telephone manner and ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
  • Resilience and the ability to work to deadlines in a busy, reactive environment.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to build relationships with candidates, clients, suppliers and internal colleagues.
  • A solutions‑focused approach and the ability to solve problems professionally and quickly.
  • Education recruitment, school/MAT experience, temporary staffing experience or knowledge of education compliance would be advantageous.

About the role

This is a fast‑paced delivery and account management role. It is not a traditional 360 sales role. The role can be pressured, particularly during morning booking periods. You will need to manage urgent school requests, candidate availability changes, partner agency responses and CRM administration at the same time. You will be supported by the wider MSP team, but you must be comfortable working with pace, urgency and accountability.
