Smile Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Premises Administrator to start a full-time role immediately at a school in Rowley Regis. The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational and administrative management of the school site, working closely with the Premises Manager, School Business Manager, and office team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage visitor sign-in and sign-out procedures in line with safeguarding and health & safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to site access, contractors, and compliance documentation.
  • Support the administration of health and safety checks, including fire logs, risk assessments, and statutory compliance records.
  • Update and maintain premises-related data on school systems (e.g. SIMS / ARBOR / BROMCOM, where applicable).
  • Act as a point of contact for premises queries, liaising with staff, contractors, and external services.
  • Assist with room bookings, site scheduling, and facilities coordination.
  • Provide administrative support for maintenance, repairs, and asset management.
  • Present premises and compliance data to senior leaders when required.
  • Support emergency procedures and ensure safeguarding protocols are followed at all times.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Have experience in an administrative or premises-based role.
  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be confident using school systems such as SIMS, CMIS, ARBOR or BROMCOM.
  • Have a good working knowledge of school health & safety and safeguarding procedures.
  • Be professional, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Be able to form positive working relationships with staff, parents, and external contractors.
