We are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to work on a full-time, long-term basis at a welcoming Catholic primary school located in the B43 6LN area of Birmingham. This teaching assistant role will run for the full academic year and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, values-led school environment that places pupils at the heart of everything it does.

The school is a friendly, inclusive Catholic primary school with a strong community ethos. Staff work closely together to ensure pupils are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. As a teaching assistant, you will:
- Work mornings supporting Year 3 pupils in class
- Work afternoons supporting Year 5 pupils
- Deliver intervention group work to support attainment and progress
- Provide classroom support under the direction of the class teacher
- Support pupils with varying abilities, including those needing additional support
- Help maintain a positive, engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other teaching assistants
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (ideal)
- If no qualification, a minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a school is essential
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting children’s learning and development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
