We are seeking a Year 6 Intervention Teacher to join a welcoming and well-established primary school in Birmingham (B8), delivering high-quality teaching across upper KS2 in small group settings. The Role

As a Year 6 Intervention Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering well-planned, engaging lessons across Year 6
  • Highlighting topics that need intervention for individual students
  • Working on a small group or 1:1 basis
  • Maintaining strong classroom routines and positive behaviour
  • Supporting pupil progress during class teacher release time
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers and support staff
  • Upholding the school’s values of respect, ambition, and inclusion
  • Ensuring continuity and consistency in teaching and learning

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Be flexible, organised, and confident teaching across multiple year groups
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching that engages and inspires
