Smile Education is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support an internal provision base in a supportive and well‑led school. This is a long‑term role ideal for someone experienced with SEND and SEMH needs, looking to make an immediate impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with SEND in a dedicated provision base
- Working closely with the HLTA
- Delivering 1:1 and small group support
- Managing behaviour and supporting SEMH needs
- Creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting SEND pupils (essential)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Confident supporting SEMH / complex needs
Qualifications required:
- Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE)
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
- Level 3 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
- Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator)
- Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children’s Play, Learning and Development
- Level 3 T Level in Education and Early Years (with placement completed)
- Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning
- Level 2 or 3 Specialist Supporting Teaching & Learning
- Level 2 or 3 Children and Young Persons Workforce
