It would be ideal if the Behaviour Mentor has experience in safeguarding, mentoring, counselling or SEMH - or who has previously worked as a Behaviour Mentor and can build trusting relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with behavioural needs
- Students can range from having an ADHD, ASC, SEMH diagnosis
- Carry out 1:1 and group intervention sessions
- Collaborate with experienced teachers and support staff
Requirements / Suited to the role:
- Patience, resilience, and approachability
- Calm, understanding and proactive attitude
- Prior education experience within SEN / Safeguarding / Inclusion / Pastoral roles
- Ability to communicate effectively with the SENDCO, class teacher, and parents
- You can work independently and as part of a team
