It would be ideal if the Behaviour Mentor has experience in safeguarding, mentoring, counselling or SEMH - or who has previously worked as a Behaviour Mentor and can build trusting relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behavioural needs
  • Students can range from having an ADHD, ASC, SEMH diagnosis
  • Carry out 1:1 and group intervention sessions
  • Collaborate with experienced teachers and support staff

Requirements / Suited to the role:

  • Patience, resilience, and approachability
  • Calm, understanding and proactive attitude
  • Prior education experience within SEN / Safeguarding / Inclusion / Pastoral roles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the SENDCO, class teacher, and parents
  • You can work independently and as part of a team
