Smile Education are working in partnership with an outstanding secondary school in the West Bromwich area to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious Academic Coach to support Year 11 and Sixth Form students throughout the 2026/27 academic year.
This is a non-teaching role, making it an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future career in education, tutoring or academia, or for experienced professionals who enjoy mentoring students to achieve their full potential.
The Role:
- Provide academic mentoring and study support to Year 11 and Sixth Form students.
- Help students develop effective revision techniques, organisation and independent learning skills.
- Support learners preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Work closely with teaching staff to identify students who would benefit from additional academic intervention.
- Motivate and inspire students to reach their academic goals.
We Are Looking For:
- A degree.
- Strong GCSE and A-Level results.
- Graduates from a Russell Group university are highly desirable, although applications from all high-calibre graduates are welcomed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, encouraging and professional approach to supporting young people.
- Previous mentoring, tutoring or school-based experience is advantageous but not essential.
