Smile Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Telford area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning and marking lessons in line with school expectations.
  • Delivering high-quality, purposeful and engaging English lessons.
  • Differentiating and tailoring lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and other additional needs.
  • Working collaboratively within the English department to support the continued success and development of the department.
  • Teaching English up to GCSE level, with flexibility to teach A Level where required.

  • English ECTs or fully qualified English Teachers.
  • Experience teaching English within UK secondary school classrooms.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum.
  • Experience teaching GCSE English and familiarity with relevant examination boards.
  • A calm, professional and engaging classroom presence.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Flexibility, reliability and a genuine passion for supporting student progress.
