Smile Education is excited to be recruiting for a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school based in Lichfield. This role focuses on delivering targeted interventions in KS1, primarily phonics using Read Write Inc. (RWI), alongside providing 1:1 SEND support where required.
Role Overview:
As a vital member of the school team, you will work closely with the Phase Leader to deliver effective small group interventions and support pupils both in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on children’s literacy and overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver focused phonics interventions using Read Write Inc. (RWI) in KS1
Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEND, adapting to their individual needs
Collaborate closely with the Phase Leader and classroom teachers to plan and review interventions
Adapt flexibly between classroom support and 1:1 sessions
Help maintain a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
