Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons.
  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
  • Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning activities.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment.
  • Following safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a UK school, nursery or educational setting.
  • A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting children's learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A reliable, professional and flexible attitude.
  • Professional, contactable references covering the last 24 months.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS through Smile Education (payment required).
  • Right to work in the UK.
