Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups.
- Assisting the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons.
- Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
- Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning activities.
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Following safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with children in a UK school, nursery or educational setting.
- A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting children's learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A reliable, professional and flexible attitude.
- Professional, contactable references covering the last 24 months.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS through Smile Education (payment required).
- Right to work in the UK.
