An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Tutor to join a specialist Alternative Provision in Southam, Warwickshire. This is a rewarding role for an individual with a background in construction who is passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople. Working with secondary-aged students in a small-group setting, you will deliver engaging, practical lessons that help young people develop vocational skills, gain recognised qualifications and build confidence for future employment, apprenticeships or further education.

Whether you are an experienced tutor or a construction professional looking to transition into education, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while enjoying a structured, term-time working environment. Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor and record learner achievement.

The successful candidate will have:
  • A strong background within the construction industry.
  • A recognised qualification in Construction or a relevant trade.
  • Experience delivering training, mentoring or teaching, or a genuine interest in moving into education.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to motivate and engage young people from a range of backgrounds.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
