Smile Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Solihull to recruit an enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher to join their team from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Sports Coaches, Youth Workers or graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training.
The successful candidate will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour effectively and help create a positive learning environment where students can thrive. π« The Role Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a purposeful learning environment.
Support students with their learning, ensuring they remain engaged throughout lessons.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
Build positive relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.
Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote high standards of behaviour and attendance.
Adapt confidently to different subjects and classroom settings when required.β What We're Looking For Previous experience working with young people in a school, coaching, mentoring, youth work or a similar setting.
Confident leading a classroom and managing student behaviour.
A positive, resilient and proactive approach to supporting students.
A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
