Smile Education are proud to be supporting a high-performing secondary school within a successful and growing Multi-Academy Trust in their search for an enthusiastic and dedicated Physics Teacher to join their Science department from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to teach Physics within a well-resourced and supportive environment that places a strong emphasis on academic excellence, staff development and student achievement. The role is initially offered on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire a love of Science.
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the Science department and school community.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified Physics Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent). ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
  • A passion for Science and the ability to inspire young people.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
