Smile Education is proud to be working in close partnership with the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust to recruit an experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their sensory provision team from September 2025. This part-time opportunity is ideal for a passionate and skilled professional who thrives in a specialist environment and is looking to make a genuine impact in the lives of children with complex needs.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for primary-aged pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Work within a dedicated sensory provision supporting children aged 2-11 years
  • Deliver curriculum-aligned activities tailored to each pupil's individual learning needs
  • Support with personal care as required
  • Collaborate with a large, established team of experienced professionals
  • Flexible working days required to meet the changing needs of the school

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Education
  • Has recent experience supporting Primary-aged pupils with SEND in the UK
  • Confident in working independently while also taking direction from a wider team
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the primary curriculum and how to adapt it for SEND learners
  • Has experience supporting children with autism, challenging behaviour, and a range of learning disabilities
  • Able to demonstrate strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to inclusion
  • Must be able to provide two references, one of which must comment on experience working with children
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
