We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated School Office Administrator to join our team at a thriving Secondary School in the OL1 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing a dedicated team of admin and back-office staff, ensuring smooth operations within a busy school environment.

About the Role:

As School Office Manager, you will oversee all administrative functions within the school, leading a team of skilled staff to provide efficient support to both teaching staff and students. You will ensure the smooth running of the school’s day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of service and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the school’s office functions, including attendance, admissions, and communication with parents and external agencies.
  • Provide strong leadership and support to staff, managing workloads, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the office.
  • Assist in financial management, including budgeting, procurement, and monitoring of school expenses.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and other relevant school regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to help implement school policies and ensure excellent service delivery across the board.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an office administrator or in a similar role, preferably within a school environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • A good understanding of school administration processes and operations.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with staff, students, and parents.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems relevant to school management.
