Smile Education is recruiting a Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join a welcoming and supportive Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Leicester. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children who require a personalised approach to education. This SEN school provides a safe, calm and inclusive environment for pupils aged 5‑11 who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, alongside specialist provision for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Communication & Interaction needs. The school is committed to helping every child thrive through high‑quality teaching, positive relationships and outstanding pastoral support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Primary teaching experience
- Excellent behaviour management
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Experience with teaching in a SEMH, SEND or alternative provision is essential
