Smile Education is recruiting for a talented and passionate Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join a welcoming primary school in Hull, teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, with a particular focus on Reception. Working closely with the EYFS team and school leadership, you will deliver high-quality teaching in a nurturing, engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
The Role
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging and inspiring lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
- Foster a positive, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Support children's academic, social, emotional and personal development.
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, using assessment to inform future planning.
- Create exciting learning opportunities through play-based and child-centred approaches.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with the EYFS team and senior leaders to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its values and ethos.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential.
- Proven experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, particularly Reception.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development.
- High expectations for pupil achievement and wellbeing.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, enthusiastic and creative approach to teaching.
- A commitment to providing outstanding learning experiences for every child.
Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have recent experience teaching in an Early Years or Reception classroom.
- Be able to provide two years of professional references, including comments on your teaching practice.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Smile Education.
