Smile Education is currently looking for an experienced and reliable school Caretaker. It is essential that you have previous experience working within a school setting as well as completing general repairs and building maintenance work.
Duties:
- General maintenance of school grounds and facilities
- Open and close the school and maintain security throughout
- Complete basic repairs and arrange contractors for major repairs
- Supervise cleaning staff
- General porterage duties
- Key holder responsibilities
- Inspect, monitor and record building cleaning records
- Work closely with the school Business Manager regarding appropriate repairs and maintenance
- Carry out non-specialist building maintenance works i.e. plumbing and decorating
- Record management and keeping
- Supervise, manage, and train team members

- Previous experience working within a school environment
- Maintenance experience
- Eligibility to work within the UK
