Smile Education are recruiting for a school experienced Attendance Officer to start immediately for a school in Redditch. This role will be full time Monday – Friday 08.00-16.00.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence and punctuality.
- Ongoing monitoring of attendance for students.
- Identify students who require support with their attendance.
- Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House and Tutors, SENCo, inclusion team and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern.
- Raise attendance issues with parents.
- Meet with both students and parents to support them to improve attendance.
- Meet with Education Welfare Officer on a weekly basis.
- Refer students who are not meeting attendance targets.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to have prior experience working in an attendance-based role within education. Experience in using SIMS/CMIS/BROMCOM/ARBOR is essential.
