WordPress Developer – Digital Agency, London 2-3 days per week – £50k-£60k. We are working with our client to secure them a WordPress Developer with a passion for creating dynamic, user-friendly websites. We are looking for a talented developer to join a growing team at a fast paced digital agency in London. If you have experience with WordPress, custom themes, plugins, and advanced custom fields, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! As a WordPress Developer, you'll play a key role in building custom WordPress websites and web applications for a variety of exciting clients. You'll work alongside a creative and collaborative team to bring client visions to life while ensuring the sites you build are performant, scalable, and maintainable. What You’ll Be Doing: * Developing custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client needs and specifications. * Working with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to build flexible and easy-to-manage solutions. * Writing clean, well structured, and efficient code that is easy to maintain and scale. * Collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high quality websites. * Troubleshooting and debugging WordPress sites to resolve any issues that arise. * Ensuring websites are fully responsive, fast, and optimised for SEO. * Integrating third party APIs and ensuring smooth functionality across different platforms. * Keeping up to date with the latest WordPress developments, themes, plugins, and best practices. What we need you to have: * Proven experience working as a WordPress Developer, ideally in a digital agency setting. * Strong experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom theme and plugin development. * Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL. * Familiarity with popular page builders and themes like Elementor, WPBakery, and Divi. * Experience with website optimisation techniques, including caching, image optimisation, and minimising page load times. * A good understanding of WordPress security practices and ensuring secure code. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. * Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members. * Experience with version control systems such as Git is a plus.
