Must be based in the UK. Smile Digital Talent are partnering with a growing digital agency that builds and improves eCommerce platforms for a wide range of brands. They are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their delivery team and help lead some exciting, varied projects. Most of the work will focus on Magento to Shopify migrations, alongside redesigns, upgrades and ongoing improvements to existing eCommerce sites. This role is fully remote, but you will occasionally attend in person client workshops when required.
You will be responsible for running multiple eCommerce projects from start to finish, working closely with designers, developers, account managers and clients. Projects will vary a lot, some are small enhancements, others are large re-platforming programmes. Some are creative and design-led, others are more technical. If you like variety and problem solving, you will be well suited to this opportunity. You will own delivery end-to-end, planning, communication, risk management and making sure everything stays on track.
Your role will involve:
- Leading project kick-offs and discovery sessions
- Turning requirements into clear plans and timelines
- Organising work in Jira and keeping teams aligned
- Running stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives
- Keeping clients updated with honest, clear communication
- Managing risks, issues and the inevitable “curveballs”
- Handling tricky conversations when needed (internally and externally)
- Looking for ways to improve how projects are delivered
- Supporting and mentoring more junior team members
This role is a good fit for someone who:
- Enjoys leading people and bringing teams together
- Is comfortable managing technical digital projects
- Has experience delivering eCommerce or web based work
- Can confidently manage client expectations (including saying no when needed)
- Stays calm when things get messy or change direction
- Likes understanding the technical detail, not just the Gantt chart
- Is organised, proactive and communicates clearly
- Has worked with tools like Jira / Confluence (or similar)
We need you to have:
- Magento, Shopify or other re-platforming experience
- A formal PM qualification (PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, PMP etc.)
- Agency or consultancy background
