Smile Dental Centre is recruiting a practice manager, ideally to work 4 days per week. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensure that the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards whilst remaining financially viable;
- Provide solid leadership, based on a sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning, and human resource management, including recruitment;
- Drive innovation and modernisation;
- Meet reporting requirements and comply with local and national KPIs and contracts;
- Coordinate and lead the operational delivery of services, engaging with staff, patients, etc.;
- Present and analyse data to monitor quality;
- Attend meetings;
- Effectively manage staff;
- Develop effective partnerships with other organisations to benefit the practice;
- Take responsibility for security, repairs, insurance, and maintenance of premises, services, and equipment;
- Ensure practice compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety at Work legislation;
- Manage all income, expenditure, and accounts, as well as prepare financial reports;
- Implement and maintain systems under the direction of the partners;
- Handle patient enquiries and suggestions, including oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure;
- Review and update the practice’s information leaflet and website;
- Handle practice publicity and health education materials;
- Be involved in managing the computer system, including organising maintenance and developments;
- Ensure practice compliance with data protection legislation;
- Prepare practice business plans and annual reports as directed.
