Who are we?
We’re the original pioneers in connected commerce marketing. Since 2008, we’ve been partnering with major retailers, powering global brands, and building meaningful connections with shoppers.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Client Executive to join our VMG partnership. The Senior Client Executive plays a key role in supporting the Very Media Group team to achieve commercial targets through exceptional client management and the effective delivery of brand-led retail media campaigns.
What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain strong relationships across VMG, The Very Group (TVG) and supplier brands, delivering exceptional client service and becoming a trusted day-to-day partner.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of retail media campaigns across your client portfolio, ensuring activity is delivered on time, within budget and aligned to agreed objectives and internal processes.
- Support the creation of insight-led media plans and creative proposals, contributing ideas that deliver effective, brand-led retail media campaigns.
- Develop a strong understanding of VMG's proposition and confidently communicate the value of our solutions to clients, supporting wider commercial objectives and identifying opportunities to grow client partnerships.
- Monitor campaign performance, working with internal teams to optimise activity where required and using campaign insights to inform future recommendations.
- Share clear, actionable post-campaign reporting, identifying key learnings and embedding recommendations to continuously improve client outcomes.
- Act as a point of contact for junior team members, providing guidance on day-to-day queries, sharing best practice and supporting onboarding and development, without direct line management responsibility.
- Contribute ideas that improve ways of working, support wider business initiatives and demonstrate SMG's principles in everything you do.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in marketing, ideally within retail media, FMCG or agency environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and client relationships simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence working with campaign data, budgets and reporting (Excel proficiency desirable).
- Experience delivering integrated marketing or retail media campaigns from briefing through to completion.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a strong drive to succeed.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach for different stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for supporting and developing others.
- A solution-focused mindset, demonstrating SMG's "Think Differently" behaviour by challenging convention and embracing new ideas.
We’re looking for people who enjoy the buzz of change, the satisfaction of building something better, and the joy of working with a close-knit, values-driven team. If you love variety, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and embrace change with energy, this could be your right role.
Don’t meet every single requirement? We still want to hear from you. If you believe you’d thrive in this role, your unique perspective might be just what we’re looking for.
