Who are we?
We’re the original pioneers in connected commerce marketing. Since 2008, we’ve been partnering with major retailers, powering global brands, and building meaningful connections with shoppers.
About the role
We are looking for a Category Analyst to join our Morrisons Media Group Team. You’ll help leading brands make smarter marketing decisions by turning customer and campaign data into clear, actionable recommendations. You’ll uncover customer trends and behaviours, identify opportunities for growth and assess campaign performance to shape brand strategy, marketing investment and future planning. As the subject matter expert for MoreViu, Morrisons’ customer insight platform, you’ll champion its use across the business and work closely with internal teams and brand partners to bring data into decision-making.
What you’ll do
- Use consumer, sales and campaign data to generate actionable insight that informs media planning, demonstrates campaign effectiveness and identifies future opportunities for brand growth.
- Partner with colleagues across Connected Media and Client Services to provide insight that supports commercial conversations, audience planning and the development of retail media propositions.
- Lead the development and adoption of MMG's MoreViu platform, embedding it within the business and enabling colleagues to make the most of its customer and audience insight capabilities.
- Transform complex data into compelling stories and presentations that communicate clear, evidence-based recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Drive continuous improvement across MMG Insights by refining analytical approaches, sharing best practice and helping evolve the tools, processes and methodologies that support the team's delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong understanding of how retailers, brands or category teams use customer insight to make commercial decisions
- Strong analytical capability with experience working across multiple customer or retail datasets
- Ability to transform analysis into compelling commercial narratives
- Experience producing presentation decks rather than simply reports
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple requests
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Naturally curious with a problem-solving mindset
- Advanced Excel skills
Desirable
- Experience using audience planning or customer insight platforms (MoreViu, Kantar, Circana, Dunnhumby, Nectar360, etc.)
- Understanding of retail media
- Experience with campaign measurement
- Knowledge of customer segmentation and audience planning
- SQL or other data querying experience
