At Smeetz, we are on a mission to transform how visitor attractions like theme parks, museums, and theaters manage their sales and maximize revenue. As an AI-driven SaaS platform, we empower our clients with tools to efficiently manage, market, and price their products. We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our growing commercial team and lead our expansion in the UK market. As an AE, you’ll own opportunities end-to-end, from first contact to signed contract, and play a central role in shaping how Smeetz grows in one of our most strategic regions. You’ll work closely with SDRs, Marketing, Product, and Implementation to bring meaningful value to attractions across the UK.
Key responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities: Identify, prospect, and qualify leads in the UK market to build and maintain a strong and healthy sales pipeline. You will leverage inbound interest as well as outbound outreach to drive growth.
- Manage the full sales cycle: Run the complete acquisition process including outbound outreach, discovery calls, product demonstrations, commercial proposals, contract negotiation, and closing, before handing customers over to the Implementation/Account Management team.
- Develop the UK market: Build a strong network within the UK attractions and cultural industry by attending business events, conferences, trade shows, and webinars, and by selecting and managing key events to participate in.
- Strengthen market presence: Monitor UK market trends, competition, and customer needs; contribute to the development of a go-to-market strategy and business plan for the UK.
- Develop the UK market through field presence: Build a strong network within the UK attractions and cultural industry by actively participating in key trade shows, conferences, and associations (e.g., BALPPA and other relevant industry networks). Select, plan, and represent Smeetz at the most strategic events to drive awareness and generate opportunities.
- Travel to build relationships and close deals: Enjoy being on the road - visiting prospects and customers across the UK, attending industry events and conferences, and joining internal meet-ups with the commercial team. Use in-person time to deepen relationships, accelerate deals, and strengthen Smeetz’s market presence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with the Product team by sharing customer needs and industry trends, and with the Marketing team to request and adapt marketing materials required for the UK market.
Language skills: Native-level English (additional European languages are a plus).
Experience: Proven experience as an Account Executive or in a full-cycle closing role within a B2B SaaS company. Experience selling to hospitality, leisure, ticketing, or cultural/attractions sectors is a strong advantage.
Sales ownership: Comfortable owning the full sales process, including discovery, demoing, proposal building, negotiation, and closing.
Pipeline mindset: Strong ability to build, manage, and prioritize a healthy pipeline through structured prospecting and deal qualification.
Tools: Experience with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot) and modern sales tools for prospecting, sequencing, and forecasting.
Commercial acumen: Confident in running complex commercial conversations with senior stakeholders and tailoring value cases to customer priorities.
Mindset: Self-motivated, goal-driven, resilient, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
Communication & presence: Clear, persuasive communicator with strong executive presence and the ability to build trust quickly.
You’ll thrive in a high-performance, trust-based environment that values personal growth. Your achievements will be recognized and rewarded with increased earning potential and ownership responsibilities. This role offers the chance to develop in an international setting, expanding your career horizons. Exposure to a cutting-edge SaaS platform and the opportunity to work with a diverse range of iconic UK attractions.
