We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team (with an immediate start). As a key contributor within our large, multi-site organisation, you will provide high-quality monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet), covering end to end procedures, that directly supports strategic decision-making and drives business performance. You will be a key member of the UK finance team, whilst also having strong exposure to the European Group CFO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly management accounts and board pack information
- Process bi-monthly, and ad-hoc, supplier payment runs from start to finish
- Ensure monthly payroll is processed in a timely and compliant manner
- Monthly general ledger reviews for miss-postings and required reclassifications
- Daily / weekly / monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Stock booking and reconciliation, including purchase order reconciliations
- Monthly VAT returns and payments, and supporting 3rd party providers in corporation tax compliance
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers
- Maintain fixed asset register and monthly depreciation and amortisation bookings
- Maintain accruals and prepayment schedules
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Assist with annual financial audit requirements
- Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled with group entities
- Complete monthly ONS and other surveys
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES
- Legal right to work in the UK without visa or work-permit sponsorship
- Comfortable with working full-time in an office environment
- 3-5 years management accountant experience
- Demonstrable experience in end to end management accounts procedures and production
- Motivated to build their career, with an urgent approach to completing required tasks
- Confident with strong communication skills – must be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Solution oriented – brings solutions to issues, focused on solving the problem rather than discussing it
- Pro-active mindset, looks around the corner to determine what is required next
- Curious, with demonstrable desire to learn and continuously improve
- Highly process focused, consistently takes notes, asks questions and delivers on tasks
- Has strong attention to detail, reads all information sent, reconciles all figures and double checks work
- Team oriented, has prior background in a team environment, whether professionally or personally, looks to be a contributor and reliable team member
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Has started or is seeking to start an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA etc.)
- Experience with financial systems such as Exact Globe (accounting), Lucanet (consolidation), Scan Sys (purchase invoice), internet banking or similar tools
- Experience managing inventory data in a company, including item codes, prices, and stock value
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and implementing financial policies and controls
- Experience in a company growing by acquisition
