We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to join our team as a Level3 Business Administrator Apprentice.


An excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their career in business administration while gaining valuable practical experience alongside formal training with South Bank Colleges.

The Business Administrator Apprentice will play an important role in supporting SME LOCAL CIC's continued development of its administration process and supporting the requirements of a fast paced organisation are continually me, whilst also supporting the organisation to communicate effectively with local businesses, partners, learners, communities and other stakeholders.


What You'll Do


  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the team.

  • Managing emails, correspondence and routine enquiries.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and databases.

  • Preparing documents, reports, presentations and other business information.

  • Organising meetings, appointments and events.

  • Preparing agendas, taking notes and recording actions where appropriate.

  • Updating spreadsheets and carrying out basic data analysis.

  • Supporting the production of reports and management information.

  • Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems in line with organisational procedures.

  • Assisting with the processing and monitoring of administrative requests.

  • Supporting colleagues with projects and business activities.

  • Communicating professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Responding to enquiries and directing queries to the appropriate person or team.

  • Following organisational policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements.

  • Using a range of digital systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working.

  • Prioritising tasks and managing your workload effectively.

  • Undertaking other reasonable administrative duties appropriate to the role and level of the apprenticeship.


Training Outcome


As a community interest company, we participate in various community events and there will be an expectation for attendance at some but not all of these.


In addition, client management is a key element of our business and therefore it is expected individuals will be able to attend external meetings/events/gatherings with clients.
