Are you a Human Resources graduate who is looking to develop a career as a HR generalist? This Leicester based role at the head-office of a national Construction business could be ideal.
There are 3 people in the HR team, including a Director who will be retiring in 2027. The person who is being developed to replace her started as a graduate 4 years ago, and has done very well. You’ll be taking over a lot of duties that she no longer has time for, as her role develops further.
You will be learning a wide range of HR duties:
- Payroll
- Recruitment
- Onboarding
- Managing the database
There will be some work on the strategic side too, and maybe some projects. You’ll be writing policies, managing relationships, looking at succession planning, and lots more. And you’ll be helping the Training manager to look after the business apprentices.
There will also be some of the less nice parts of the job too, such as disciplinaries. This really is a fantastic opportunity, with a business that sees great value in graduates (there are Directors of other departments who also started as graduates). You’ll be learning a lot, from good people who know a lot about HR.
There will be some occasional travel to other sites (once or twice a month).
