The business designs and manufactures a range of environmentally friendly rotating mechanical equipment that is used by businesses in a range of industry sectors (for example Oil and Gas, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical).

Your job will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing. While design is a large part of this job, you’ll also be involved in other areas and will be supporting the rest of the business with engineering related issues; using your technical knowledge to give support and guidance.

There will be some CAD design work, for example installation drawings, and also ensuring that product design and selection is correct. You’ll be working on bill of materials, which serves as a roadmap for production, detailing everything required to build a product from start to finish.

There will be a focus on design control, which is a formal methodology for managing the design and development process, ensuring that the final product meets user needs and specified requirements. You’ll get to use your analytical skills and use engineering drawings to visualise opportunities, improvements or solve problems: finding the root-cause and implementing preventive solutions.

You will be using Enterprise Resource Planning or Materials Requirement Planning systems to keep track of everything. You probably won’t have done much related to some of these tasks - and that’s ok, as full training is provided. Start date is as soon as possible.

What you’ll need:

  • A Mechanical Engineering related degree.
  • 2D and 3D CAD experience.

What you’ll get:

  • An above average starting salary (amount will be discussed on the initial call).
  • Flexible start/finish times.
  • Bonus scheme after qualifying period/pro rata for first year.
  • Healthcare cashback scheme.
  • 4% employer 4% employee pension contribution.
  • 4x life assurance.
  • Cycle to work scheme.

Where you’ll be based:

Eastbourne, on the south-coast. Some employees commute from other areas, including Brighton and Hastings. The offices are near to the train station.
