If you’re an Engineering graduate who enjoys solving problems, then this role could be ideal for you. You will be using specialist software to model real-time water networks, or storm and wastewater networks. You’ll identify any areas of concern, or potential issues, for example with surges of water. Then make recommendations to the clients so they can address it.

In addition to having an interesting and challenging job, you’ll be doing some good for people and the environment. Playing a direct role in preventing problems with water networks; or stopping sewage going into our beautiful sea, including in high-profile tourism areas.

Over the last 6 years the business has taken on around 15 graduates; and most are still there, which is something to be proud of. The feedback from those graduates is that management are supportive, and everyone gets on well together. And they have different problems to solve every day; which makes the work very interesting.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Don’t worry if you’ve not done anything like this as full training will be provided. Your degree should be engineering based; ideally Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical. You should be able to demonstrate good numerical reasoning and attention to detail. If you have some Hydraulics knowledge, or experience with using software then that would be ideal, but if not it can be trained. You’ll quickly develop specialised knowledge.

WHERE YOU’LL BE DOING IT

The location is north-west Leeds, and has good bus routes. It’s also near to Bradford. It's preferred that you are already based in commuting distance, or are easily able to relocate due to connections there. You’ll be office based, but in time there may be some scope to work from home part of the time. You may also get the opportunity to meet with your business clients.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

Start date is as soon as possible, so if you’re interested please apply asap so you don’t miss out. The role and business will be discussed in more depth with candidates who are a good initial match.
