Are you a Human Resources graduate who is looking to develop a career as a HR generalist? This Leicester based role at the head-office of a national Construction business could be ideal.
There are 3 people in the HR team, including a Director who will be retiring in 2027. The person who is being developed to replace her started as a graduate 4 years ago, and has done very well. You’ll be taking over a lot of duties that she no longer has time for, as her role develops further.
You will be learning a wide range of HR duties:
- from payroll to recruitment
- onboarding to managing the database
- writing policies
- managing relationships
- looking at succession planning
- helping the Training manager to look after the business apprentices
There will also be some of the less nice parts of the job too, such as disciplinaries. This really is a fantastic opportunity, with a business that sees great value in graduates (there are Directors of other departments who also started as graduates). You’ll be learning a lot, from good people who know a lot about HR. There will be some occasional travel to other sites (once or twice a month).
