Responsibilities
- Stock-control and supply-chain management: looking after the materials and stock used to make the items, ensuring deliveries are correct, and maintaining sufficient inventory.
- Ensure parts are sent out correctly to customers.
- Purchasing: identify suitable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
- Interact with suppliers, internal staff, and customers. Learn about how the business operates.
- Become a super-user of the business management system and pursue ongoing professional development.
- Potentially undertake a Purchasing qualification and learn to use the forklift truck if desired.
- Learn about ISO quality and environmental management.
