As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with our Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of subsea vehicles and subsystems—working independently, leading small teams, or collaborating with specialist development partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering robust, thoroughly analysed engineering designs within project timelines
- Managing technical risks and communicating progress clearly through reviews and planning updates
- Checking and approving engineering work from peers
- Researching emerging technologies, materials, and techniques
- Generating innovative concepts and engineering solutions
- Working with universities, research partners, and industry experts
- Building prototype robotic systems and complex sub-assemblies
- Testing new technologies and evaluating performance
- Leading design reviews and producing high-quality technical documentation
- Supporting new product deployment, including field activities when required
Essential Skills
- Competence in engineering tools such as Autodesk Inventor, Mathcad, etc.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and numerical methods.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Navy Architecture Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- +10 years relevant experience in industry
